I was wondering if a customer or an agent responds to a comment via a reaction rather than commenting would that agent/customer be notified? We do receive notifications that there was a comment but not when there is a reaction.

Hi Aaron, I found another community response, Event-for-reaction-to-Jira-comment which I would agree with that a reaction doesn't trigger an event, so you wouldn't get any notification.
It looks like there's a suggestion to change that behavior. JRACLOUD-73648

Thank you for this what I have noticed and have suggested to our users is to go on start.atlassian.com/notifications this would at least show you that it that your comment was reacted.
