We are using JIRA to track training development and are trying to create a status dashboard using the two dimensional filter with a list of training courses by course name on the Y axis (listed in rows) and the stage of training development on the X axis (columns).
Stages of development (custom to the project) are tagged using labels and appearing as expected, with columns from left to right showing progress over time in a nice way visually.
Every training courses is entered into JIRA as a separate task, and we have the course names listed in the summary field which is what we wanted to display. However, we've discovered that summary is not something that can be pulled into the two dimensional filter.
Seeking advice on if it is possible to create this kind of view (critically showing the course name) using the two dimensional filter, by creatively using another field or object to show the course name?
Alternatively, wondering if anybody has any suggestions of other dashboard options that might be capable of giving us the view we're looking for? We're exploring the filter results gadget which gives us the summary field list of courses, but not the stage of development in the way were we hoping for.
Any ideas and advice gratefully received. Thank you
Hi @Sid ,
As you have mentioned text fields are not supported for two dimensional statistics.
Two dimensional statistics supports below field types.
Group picker
Multi select
User picker
Select list
Version picker
You can create Course Name custom field as select list and enter all the options. You can select the field while creating the request.
