Is there any way to visualize the status of the stories in the Swimlane bar of the Next-Gen projects

In the old Jira projects, one could see in the information of each Swimlane the status of the stories (To do, In progress, Done, etc...) but I can't find the way to visualize them in Jira Next gen proyects.

Next-gen projects are more simple than classic and swimlane is a feature that was not added to yet.

There is a feature request suggesting the implementation of this ability:

• As a Jira Software user, I want to be able to configure swimlanes on next-gen boards
