Is there a way we can disable "Create Sprint" and "Create Releases" option for certain roles in Jira. I am trying to restrict the creation of releases / Product Increment (PI) and Sprints across different Jira projects such that they are only using available standard PIs and Sprints only.

They should still be able to edit issues and assign them to sprints & releases.

Hello @Nidhi Gupta ,

Creating a Sprint is part of the "Manage Sprint" permission and managing release version creation is a part of the "Administer Projects" permission.  Restricting users access to these permissions should do what you are looking for.

Check out the Documentation for "Managing project permissions" that gives a more detailed breakdown on each of these permissions.

As for your note on restriction across different projects I also recomend checking out the KB "How to restrict project access to different isolated user groups"

Regards,
Earl
