I am using the CSV upload feature as a way to create a template board when starting a new project. I want the items to be added to the board in a specific order. However, when I upload the items, they land on the new board in a seemingly random order.
How can I force the order they added to the new board when creating the items from an uploaded CSV?
Hi Ingrid,
So just to clarify - when you upload the CSV it doesn't always create them in the order they are in the CSV file (first row in the CSV might now always be the first issue that is created). Is that what you are saying?
If so, I think you would probably have to upload one at a time.
Hi John - that's right. Every time I upload the CSV, the order of the items is different.
Uploading one at a time is not really an option. The whole reason I am "restoring" to a CSV upload is to save time. What I really want is the ability to copy an existing JWM project. Since that functionality is not available, I am trying to find work-arounds.

So tell me more about the copying a project thing. What exactly does that mean? Are you wanting to copy schemes AND issues?

We have a standard launch checklist that every projects we run starts with. Other tasks get added/removed, but we have a baseline list of ~40 tasks that apply to ALL projects. I am trying to find a repeatable way to start a new JWM board with those ~40 tasks in place, configured the same.

So I am thinking you could create a base/template project with all of those tasks. And then clone that project using an add-on like Deep Clone or Revyz Backup and Restore app - they have an option to clone a project.

I will look into it. Unfortunate there is no functionality native to JWM that does this. Thanks for your advice!
