Hi,

I am working in a Devops project where we have multiple adhoc requests being created by different team on devops support and some of those requests need more time which we have to plan in our next sprint planning.

I want to organise all these adhoc requests to sit in a sprint called "Adhoc Request" which is in backlog and not an active sprint and avoiding manual intervention to move the tickets later.

Is there a way to auto populate the backlog sprint name in the drop down when the issue is created?

Hello @swathi sws

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

There is not a native solution for automatically setting the Sprint field in the Create Issue dialog. That might be able to be accomplished with a third party plugin.

Another alternative is to use the Automation for Jira feature to set the sprint field after the issue has been created.
