Integrate with Azure DevOps

Hi,

I am looking into integration between Jira and Azure DevOps. We use ADO for CI/CD and source repository. I would love the following abilities:

  • Link commits in ADO to Jira issues
  • Link pull requests to Jira issues
  • Create defects in Jira when performing the pull request code review
  • See linked items from ADO within Jira

Any suggestions? (plugins, tools, etc)

Here everybody.

Here is a quick video demo on how you can integrate Azure DevOps source code bits with Jira development panel - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d5TIi6xcrfU

Hi @Chris Steenwyk

My name is Diana and I am a solutions architect at ZigiWave. I'd like to suggest a tool that you might feel interested to try in the future - ZigiOps. It's a no-code integration platform that allows the transfer of default and custom fields between the systems and syncs them in real-time. Our tool reads the schema dynamically and can transfer any fields. It can also be tailored to fit your use cases and needs. If you want to see how it works in action: book a technical demo

Hi @Chris Steenwyk @Trudy Claspill

Thanks for the message.

I'm also looking for the Integration Solution between the Azure DevOps & Jira.

And have following questions:

1. I want to integrate Jira and Azure DevOps, so that I can track the Test Results of a pipeline in JIRA?

2. If Tests are run in Azure Pipelines, a copy of these Tests exists in JIRA, can these test results be linked to Tests in JIra by their Issue ID or some other mechanism?

3. If JIRA is a BDD Feature File, can the Test run update (synchronize) it?

@Trudy Claspill - Do you have any suggestions.

Thank you!

Hello @Anoop Sharma

Welcome to the community.

Unfortunately I do not have any suggestions. What you are looking for is beyond the scope of what I've researched.

Hello @Chris Steenwyk

Nice to meet you, I am Ben and I am the Director of Product at ONEiO. I monitor these user communities frequently to find interesting use case, especially connect to CI/CD pipelines.

Our product is an Integration Platform as a Service (IPaaS) and specializes in exactly this:

Integrating different applications and tool to improve cross-functional collaboration and data flow automation.

The cool thing is that we take care of the complete integration layer. That means we built and also run it for you for small subscription fee! And we have standard integrators for both, which already are up and running --> Plug & Play!

Happy to connect and give you some more details and show you how we can integrate the above mentioned commits, defects, pull requests and many more.

Best,
Ben

Oh, and also to mention we have a lot of other standard integrators also for e.g. slack, Teams and many more. Just maybe thinking about extending your use case and adding some automated reporting into channels or teams :)

Hello @Chris Steenwyk

A search for "jira azure repo integration" in Google reveals a few tools that talk about providing integration between JIRA and Azure DevOps.

I found this app specifically for JIRA Cloud, but nothing so far for JIRA Server.
