In the new text editor in new look Jira using markdown instead of markup, there are no buttons to indent or create numbered sublists eg within a numbered list. How is it done? Googled for markdown cheatsheets but the suggested solutions don't seem to work

In the new Jira issue experience, you can use the tab key to indent to create a sub-list.
Thanks, too easy and obvious

Hm, now I found out about Shift+tab, but I had to delete the sentence in the item to be able to get it to a higher level than the subitem that was above it. I know how to do it but that will probably be very messy for me if I need to update something that is in the middle of a list.

Tab indents, shift+tab outdents. You shouldn't have to delete any content to outdent, however. It would be great to see a video of what's happening, feel free to shoot me an email poye@atlassian

Additionally, sometimes the browser cache might be causing issues in the fields displaying. Make sure you cleared your browser cache and tried it in incognito mode.
