I would like to pin my data to Canada but need to know the back out procedures prior to migrating in the event of a failure.

Welcome to Jira! :)

Our Data Residency migration is entirely automated, prioritizing data security and integrity above all. Should any problems arise during migration, we guarantee no changes will be finalized, thus maintaining the continuous operation of your cloud site without jeopardizing your data or services. In the event of a migration failure, our system will automatically create a support ticket, and our migration team will step in to review the situation and plan the next migration attempt with you.

In essence, there's no action required on your part; your only responsibility is to choose the timing and destination for the migration and inform your team about the downtime during the migration.

However, as a precautionary measure, we recommend performing a Jira backup on your end. A backup could be a lifesaver for rectifying small errors within your instance, such as accidental deletions of issues or projects. Create a backup for Jira cloud
