In a team-managed projects, is it possible to set permission of issue creation based on issue type.

In team-managed projects, I see that it is possible to set roles and defined what they can and cannot do on a project. I see that there is the option of allowing them to create issues or not. But is there another level of granularity, to not allow them to create a specific type of issue that is present on the board?

No, that level of control is not available in either Team Managed or Company Managed projects.
