If the child issues are added to a user story, how does it reflect on reports ?

If the child issues are added to a user story, and when some child issues are closed will it reflect in the burn down charts etc. ?

The short answer is yes. You would need to make sure that they have story points, added to a sprint, etc. in order to see it on the burn-down chart.
