I'm missing the "URL" field under project details in next-gen, where has it gone?

In my company, we use the URL field under project detalis to point to the same project in our ERP system, so it's critical for us, in order to be able to use next-gen projects.

Hello @Mette Thyrrestrup

Thank you for reaching out.

Indeed, JIRA next-gen does not have the URL field under project details like JIRA Classic projects do. The reason of these different displays between both project types is that the Next-gen template was designed for those users who felt overwhelmed by the complexity of the Classic template and requested a simpler option, straight to the point with fewer options of customization.

We agree with you that the possibility to have those fields added in next-gen would be useful in some scenarios. In fact, we have changed our proposal for next-gen projects: Instead of adding a limited template, we are adding the similar functionalities of JIRA classic, but providing the customers with the option to remove the unnecessary features for his scenario.

That being said, we created the following feature request to get the functionality you are looking for also implemented in JIRA Next-gen:

Display the same fields for Project details in Next-gen project

For now, you can add your project URL directly in your project main page, by clicking on "Add Item" in the project view:
