Hi @Rohit Vohara ,
Welcome to the Atlassian Community!!!
For Making field required you need follow this steps:
1. Go to the Project setting> Summary.
2. Search for the Field configuration scheme and select it.
3. New window will open and search for the desired field such as Approver.
4. At right side their will be Edit, Hide, Required and Screen options.
Edit---> To set the description
Required---> To Make the field Mandatory.
Please let me know if the answer is helpful or for any queries, or questions.

Mayur

I am looking to do the same.
I tried this and got to item 3 - and the field at the end on the right just says - "82 screens" - I do not have Edit Required Etc.
Any ideas?
Thank you

I am looking to do the same, with the difference that I do not want to make the field mandatory for all the Projects.
I want to make just a few default fields like Components and fix Version as mandatory field in a specific Project. How do I have to proceed?
Thank you

Hi @Zuzanna Kraszkiewicz-Krzemińska ,
The Solution which I have provided above is for Company Managed Project. Their might be little difference as compare to Team Managed Project.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
In that case you need to have make separate field configuration scheme for those project which you want to make fields mandatory i think.

Hi JIRA experts! @Mayur Jadhav I see what you're saying about the difference between Company Managed projects and Team managed ones. Nevertheless I need to find a solution how to make fields mandatory for my issue types - otherwise the process will not work and I don't have a tool to make people accountable to fulfill all fields. Please, could you provide any more guidance?
Thank you and have a great day!
Zuzanna

Hello @Zuzanna Kraszkiewicz-Krzemińska
As of now, this feature is not available in Team managed project, Atlassian is working on it, and maybe they will release it in an upcoming release, you may please follow and vote on this ticket, so when they release it, it will notify you.
Hope this information is useful.
Cheers,
Mayur

@Mayur Jadhav massive companies don't let their employees create their own schemas. If a feature can't be done within an existing schema, we're completely stuck.

@tjwood you can do it using validator on workflows for the project (ie. on "Create" Transition) . But this will also require a separate workflow for the project.
