Hi Team,
In our Jira we are not permitted to install or use any add-ons/plugins but I want to display the dependency tracker or Ensure we have a way to depicted in the plan view and dependencies are shown across teams/dashboards.
Could you please suggest me the way to do this?
Regards,
Anu
Hi @Anuradha Yadav ,
To track dependencies in Jira without plugins, you can use built-in issue links like "blocks" or "is blocked by" to connect tasks. Set up JQL filters to pull these linked issues and create a dashboard with gadgets (like “Filter Results”) to visualize dependencies.
the view won’t be as optimized or visually comprehensive as it would be with dedicated plugins. These built-in methods are functional but might lack the interactive and streamlined experience that dependency-tracking plugins typically offer.
If you have access to Advanced Roadmaps, it provides a more comprehensive view for managing dependencies across projects. Alternatively, you can create custom fields to track dependencies manually, or use Confluence to build a visual dependency map if available.
This is not an option, their is no link issues gadget for showing this information on a dashboard.
As you have a premium subscription, you can create a plan and use the dependency map in the plan, as also mentioeed by @Teresa_DevSamurai
