How to delete the sub-task?

How to delete the sub-task? Though I am admin of the JIRA Project, delete option is not available.

Hello @Abhijeet Velapure welcome to the Atlassian Community!

You'll need the Delete Issues permission to delete an issue, whether it is an Epic, a standard/base issue type or a sub-task.

Have you checked the permission scheme associated with the project?

Standard warning: you should never delete issues from Jira, it's horrid when someone mistakenly deletes.  Give your people a way to say "mistake, so this is closed and needs no more attention" rather than delete.

Delete subtask mean,

Do you want to delete the subtask issue from the parent issue type..?

Remove subtask option from the project then you will not create that subtask..?

Delete subtask from the Jira So that no one will not see that subtask and it will apply in each projects...?

It will better, Could you please share the screeshot, Where you wants to remove the subtask option..?

Thank you for the reply.

I need sub-tasks for all the parent stories to track the progress.

While adding subtasks to a story, a sub-task was duplicated. I am looking for a solution to delete this duplicate sub-task only.

Though I am admin of the project, Option to delete a sub-task is not visible.
