Hi @Kiza Mahajan

There's a few different layers of administration you could have.

These include...

  • Organization Admin
  • Site Admin
  • User Access Admin - this is quite new
  • Product Admin

Check this help page for more information on the differences, and what each can access

---

The page above has a table which details what each Admin can do - which is a good way to test if you have admin, and to which level.

But a few simple checks you can do...

  • Organization Admin
    • Can you access https://admin.atlassian.com/ ?
    • If yes, Org Admins will see multiple tabs on the main navigation bar
    • If you see Security, you're likely an Org Admin
  • Site Admin
    • You can access https://admin.atlassian.com/
    • Can you track storage, and manage products and apps for your specific Jira instance?
    • If yes, you could have Site Admin
  • Product Admin
    • In Jira, if you select Settings (cog icon in top-right), can you see Issues and System?
    • But, you cannot see Billing or User Management
    • If yes, you're more likely a Product Admin

---

If you can access https://admin.atlassian.com/, and access user management or the directory, you could also check what level of admin you have there :)

Hi @Kiza Mahajan welcome to Atlassian community.

For Jira Cloud

  1. User Interface Check:
  2. Log in to your Jira Cloud instance.
  3. Click on the settings cog icon in the top right corner.
  4. If you see options like "User management" or "System," you likely have Jira administrator permissions.
