Is it possible to give admin access to a non-Atlassian application link so that it can edit the Jira configuration? Right now it defaults to read and write access only when a user is giving permission to the link.

Hi Jane,

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

The short answer is no, you cannot give admin access to specific application links. In order to get to the application links you need Jira admin permissions.

Thanks for answering!

The problem I'm running into is that users with admin permissions are not able use those permissions through the application links, since the link is limited to read/write only. So I was wondering if it's possible to give the link admin privileges for users who have those?

I am not sure that I follow, are you trying to integrate an third-party application with Jira? If so the recommended way is to use apps that you find in the Marketplace, or create your own. The App links cannot have admin rights on the Atlassian side.
