How do I sort so that it's in Issue key/subtask Order?

I want to sort my filter results in issue key/subtask key order so that it's like this

Key-1

Key-2

Key100 - subtask of Key2

Key222 - subtask of Key2

Key-3

Key-4

Key-99 - subtask of Key4

Key200- subtask of Key4

I've tried Parent ID, Issue Key and the subtasks ARE folding in with the parent issue, but the parents sort like this:

Key-1

Key-10

Key-1000-1019

Key-102

Key-1020-1029

Key-103

I've also tried rank but the main sort was off

if you're open to solutions from the Atlassian Marketplace, this would be super easy with the app that my team is working on, JXL for Jira.

JXL is a full-fledged spreadsheet/table view for your issues that allows viewing, inline-editing, sorting and filtering by all your issue fields. It also allows viewing your issues in their hierarchy, with just one click. This way, you can view issues in exactly the order that you're looking for.

This is how this looks in action: 

Note how the DEMO-173 subtask is shown below its parent story. (In this example, there's also epics at play, which you may not need - but you can simply exclude them.)

Once you have set up your perfect table view, you can work on your issues directly within JXL, trigger various Jira operations, or export your issues to e.g. Excel with just one click.

Just because you appear to be on Server: While Atlassian doesn't allow new Marketplace apps to be listed for Jira Server, JXL is perfectly compatible - it's just that we need to generate a license for you. To my knowledge there is no way to filter issues in such a way in Jira,

But as a Workaround, you could add the field "subtask" to the column view of your filter, which will display something like this : 

As a result you'll be able to see for each task the linked subtasks.
