How do I enable the Epics and Versions Panel in Classic Scrum Project?

I am in Classic Scrum Project on Jira Cloud - Free Version

I cannot see a way to add the epics and versions side panel

Only way to see and add epics in similar fashion is through the visually exhausting Roadmap view.

I need to enable the Epics and Versions Side Panel.

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

In order to view the Versions and Epics panel, you can go to Backlog and click on … > Show epics/version panel.

Can you please check if the options below are visible on your site?

This option is not restricted to Cloud Plans, so it should be visible on your site.

I'm trying to view the Versions and Epics panel but the options, as above, are not available to me.

i am in the same boat; i have admin perms on the project but dont see those options in the backlog menu

i just noticed a toggle that opened up the epic panel for me

I was also facing similar challenge, then I was able to solve it.

- In order to enable Epic Panel option, in the View Setting section we need ot enable it in the board setting first.

In the Board setting, go to Column section and Select - Display in Epic panel on the backlog.
