How do I disable the newly introduced releases right hand side panel

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!
A new update to the UI for the releases page has made it quite obnoxious to use. It introduced a wide right hand side panel. It is eating a huge area of the screen and it's completely useless for our team, we don't use the fields there. It's not collapsible so I have to open up dev-tools and delete the div myself, very very annoying.
Is there a setting I can go to to disable that side panel? Any plans to make it optional or collapsible? It could at least have all the fields/buttons on the same column, right now it uses two columns and wastes a lot of space.
