How do I create a 'sub task' type?

There are these issue types at the moment:

• Epic
• Bug
• Story
• Task
• Sub-task

I need to add one more in the list but as a subtask. How do I do that?

If I try to add one, it is added as the main task (just like Bug, Story, Task) though I need a sub-task type here.

@Surbhi Sharma it's currently only possible to have subtask level issue type. We do want top expand this in the future. Thanks

unfortunately it is currently not possible to create Sub-Task issue type in Next-Gen projects. There is a feature request already created though, you can vote on that here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-72663
