Hi,
A recent JIRA upgrade has seemingly set the agile board as a default for all projects and users, and selected an unusual default agile board. While logged in individual users can change their JIRA Home to Dashboard, the defaults are pretty confusing to non-logged in users and many users.
Where can this default be changed? How can it be set for anonymous users.
Note this is a deployment with an Open Source license at http://issues.couchbase.com (thanks Atlassian!)
looks i was having similer issue, whenever i login and select my project..JIRA would take me to some random issue list with query parameters for some defect.. where as i wanted to set summary page as my default page whenever i select that project from resent projects list or from some other location and i think i found a solution...and it worked for me..
lets say you want to set the summary page of project 1 as your default page for that project so that whenever you login or switch between projects in the same session
1. first go to the page of the project which you want to set as your default home page
https://xyz.atlassian.net/projects/<projectkey>/summary
2. copy the URL
3. log out and clear cache
4. start new browser session and hit copied URL https://xyz.atlassian.net/projects/<projectkey>/summary
5. once you login, summary page becomes default page. now it will become your default irrespective any number or cache clear or login logout..
hope this helps
@Sachin.Ingalagi , this didn't work...it always reverts back to the Board for me. Jira Cloud, Next Gen Software project. I want to make "Issues" the default landing page when clicking on the Project. (e.g.: Projects --> My Project)

I assume you have already followed the steps at https://confluence.atlassian.com/jira/configuring-the-default-dashboard-185729539.html to set a default dashboard for your users?
You should then look at the instructions on https://confluence.atlassian.com/jira/changing-your-jira-home-page-295309733.html to see the options available with regard to the home page.
You may need to define an appropriate Agile Board which is available to anonymous users in advance of setting the defaults if you do not already have one.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for trying Phill, but unfortunately, that doesn't help since we do have a default dashboard and the question is specifically about not-logged-in-users. The default dashboard was the previous behavior, and that's what we'd like to get back to. The second link doesn't say anything about anonymous users.

I will pull up a development copy of 6.4 tomorrow and try and reproduce your scenario. I do not have one to hand at the moment and it is nearly midnight here. Hopefully someone else may be able to step in and help before then. If you solve it on your own please let us all know how.

I wasn't able to find a solution on my own. Any luck? This seems to be asked about elsewhere.

@Phill Fox the second link you sent is what I'm after...to be able to set the default home after clicking on a project. It is currently Board...I want it to be Issues Navigator.

Anyone know where this lives now?
I'm using Jira Cloud.

Hi @Bill Miller
This option is not currently available in Cloud.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
