How can I check the sprint ID?

Vishesh Bansal November 22, 2021

I would like to know how can I check the Sprint ID?

I saw in a lot of solution answers mention to see the URL at the bottom left side of the page to but I do not see it. I use the latest version of Google Chrome. The only other browser that I can use is Safari. I have attached a screenshot below of the URL I see in Chrome.

In Chrome, right-click the 3 dots and "copy link address". Paste anywhere and you will see the sprint-id at the end.

This was helpful. Thank you! @Peter Youngman

Thanks for your help!

Such a helpful tip, thank you!
I always ended up doing a search and then switching to JQL view - very long-winded!
This is much easier.

Kate smith's "search" solution worked easier for me.

1. Search for the sprint name in jira search. (basic search)

2. switch to jql in searchScreenshot 2023-02-08 at 11.07.34 AM.png
and you can see the sprint id that you need

If you hover over the ellipsis button [...] next to the sprint you want the sprint ID for, you should see the id at the bottom left side of the page.

@Kristin Lyons I have posted a screenshot above explaining that I cannot do it. The URL shows up when I hover the mouse on the 3 dots near the name of the sprint. If I take the cursor away from it, the URL will disappear. Do you have any other solution?

If you are running multiple sprints, here is a neat trick to determine the different Sprint IDs:

1. Create a custom field (short text or number) aptly named Sprint ID

2. Set up automation to update Sprint ID field {{sprint.id}}

3. In my examples (attached), Sprint 1 is 92 and Sprint 2 is 93

1. Go to your Backlog

2. Next to the Relevant Sprint, click on "View in issue Navigator"

3. New Navigator Opens up with Sprint = ID

I was able to find a simple solution
Step1 : Go to search issues
Step 2: Choose the sprint field and choose the sprint ex:(Project: Abc, issue type: all, Sprint : Ab1)
Step 3: Switch to JQL from basic mode. You will find the Id.  example :(Sprint = 230 order by created DESC)

@Vishesh Bansal

I am also using safari so I don't see the sprint ID by hovering on the three dots [...] near the sprint name.

Here is a "long way" of doing it in safari:

1. Create a new Filter, click +More and select Sprint

2. Select the Sprint Name (ex:Sprint 1) then click "Switch to JQL" (far right)

3. Sprint = <Sprint ID> (in this case: 92)

I faced same issue but the web URL also shows the sprint I’d when we are on current sprint. Note: In my case sprint was active.
