How can I add values to Description field

I want to add the story template "As as user, ...., I want to,... so that" to the desctiption field while creating a story. This means that whenever a user is creating a story on Jira this description field should have this template / text values pre-filled. Is there an easy way to so this with out any scripting. Also , I am using free Jira version. Please help.

One thing you can do is use workflow postfunciton to update description field with required template automatically

For the filling the blanks like "user name", "want to do"  - you can use custom field and fetch the value from those field and use in the post function script to construct the description.

Cloud or Server? We use Scriptrunner Behaviours for this, but it's not available on Cloud.

I downloaded the app Scriptrunner, but the "Behaviors" option is not available for me.

@Pramodh M yes true, the option is not available. Iam trying to create with custom fields now. But I am not sure how successful shall I be?

Create a custom paragraph field and add the default value to the field

To this follow the below steps

Create the custom field of type "paragraph" with default option set as you defined

Add the paragraph field to your project screen

FYI just you know 

It's not possible to add the default value to description field in Jira
