Hello Everyone - Can we create velocity reports and weed out certain labels

We carry our tech debt in our main working board and we do not want that to be included in our teams velocity.  Is this possible?

You could use the Kanban Velocity gadget offered by our Great Gadgets app.  

This gadget is based on a filter of issues, instead of board/sprint. So all you have to do is to create a filter with the issues from your board that excludes the one with the certain label(s). Then configure the gadget to use that filter and you will have the chart display.

Please note that the gadget uses time intervals, not sprints. So you will have to configure it in such a way to be aligned with your sprint star/end dates.

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

The Velocity Report leverages the same filter used by the board. If you change the board filter that will change the Velocity Report. It is not possible to change the filter only for the Velocity Reports.

Yes, you can change your board filter such that it ignores issues that are technical debt.  They won't appear on your board of course.
