Is there a way to group tasks by epic swimlanes in Jira Work Management Board?
It's a basic function in Jira Software Projects.
@Mathew FreiheitWelcome to the Atlassian Community!
For Jira Work Management you can't group tasks by swimlanes as you do in Jira Software boards.
You can have something similar using the View List in Jira Work Management. In View List you can expand or colapse the Epic to see the issues through the Epic, but in the board format is not possible.
For Jira Work Management you can see as dependencies in board if you use Task > Subtask, this way Jira will display the Task and you can expand Subtasks in the Board view in Jira Work Management.
Hope this helps.
Hi @Mathew Freiheit,
By using our Great Gadgets app you can do the grouping in dashboard gadgets.
For example, the Team Wall board gadget can display swim-lanes by epics. This is how the gadget looks like (the colors can be customized).
In addition, the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) gadget can group the issues by their hierarchy Epic > Story, Task > Subtasks.
Please note that this app offers many other gadgets that you will find useful for project tracking. See also the articles from our blog.
Hope this helps.
Danut.

I wouldn't call this "Solved" since it requires third party software to implement. Is there a vote or something to request this as a feature in JWM (group by epic). This is extremely useful and would love to see it as a feature.

@Dean Turturici , As Jira Work Management it's merging with Jira Software to be a single product you will have all these things already done.
Please, take a look here: Welcome to the next era of Jira - Work Life by Atlassian
Idk if this answer your question, but it's just to say that the JWM and this gap will be solved by the unification.

Apparently, there's an official feature request: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JWMCLOUD-341.
Vote it up!
