Full Re-Index of JIRA

Hi,

I am hoping someone can shed some light on this for me.

We have an automated script that runs the Background Re-index of our JIRA Instance daily at 3am.

We however also run the Full Re-Index (locks the JIRA Instance) every Sunday manually. We do this as we have noticed if we do not, our JIRA instance slows down exponentially during the week and users are often unable to use it.

Since we started the weekly Sunday re-index, the Instance is a lot smoother.

However, is there a way in which we can automate this and not run the re-index manually?

We use powerscripts plugin to schedule are full re-index.
