Hi, I faced with the situation when I creating an Epic and there is 2 fields:
-Summary - which is long name that shown once you open the Epic
-Epic name - the short name of this Epic that visible in tickets that linked to this Epic.
So once I create the Epic and put in "Summary" long name of the epic and in the "Epic Name" the short one and then try to link some tickets to that epic in field "Epic Link" I see "Summary", however expect to see "Epic name".

Hi @Nataliya Eltsova,

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

What you see is expected, Atlassian announce earlier this year that Epic name will become a optional field and Summary will be what you see when linking issues to it. You can see the announcement here

Hi Mikael, thank you for sharing. Do you know is there any way to leave short Epic name as it was before?

No that is not possible, and my guess is that epic name may be removed in the future.
