Hi,

Here are the steps I execute:

1. I change the status of the issue I work on for ex. I set "Close issue" > a separate sub-window is opened over the window of my web-browser with preset fields

2. In Comment field I drag & drop or copy & paste a picture/video

Result: picture or video is not added to the comment (Mozilla Firefox); with Chrome or Edge on drag & drop the picture is opened in separate tab of the browser

I found some old issues - one is closed https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFSERVER-30111 and the other is updated for the last time a year ago - https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFSERVER-52437

As in December'23 I managed to add picture using one of the up-mentioned methods while using Firefox or Chrome, can you please check the problem?

Regards,

A. Ivanova

Hello @Antoaneta Ivanova

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

The issues you linked are for Confluence, not for Jira.

The below issue for Jira Cloud seems to match what you describe. This is apparently a know and unresolved issue.

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-73889

The workaround, provided in that issue, is to add the Attachment field to the screen.
