Does anyone know why I can't change issue type on my project, as the project Lead.

I can change other issue type like Bugs and Defect but I can't change story to Epic or to other Issue type.

Do Bugs, Defect and Story follow the same workflow? Do you have permissions to create Epics?

Epics are special because they have built-in features such as Epic links, Epic status and appear differently on sprint boards. So it could be a problem with mapping or required fields not getting filled in.

Hi @sunday Joseph

Your Story issuetype does not have issuetype on its "Edit Screen". Check with your Jira Administrator because most likely it was configured this way.

If you have access, https://YOURSITE.atlassian.net/plugins/servlet/project-config/YOURPROJECTKEY/screens.
