I've a project that don't use any Git repo. In the Project Features - Code is already in disabled state. But in my tickets, the field "Development" is still reflecting. Please see attachment.
Can you please help me to hide/disable that field
You can also edit issue layout and move the 'Development' from context field to hide when empty section. In this way, development and release will be invisible if there is no value.
Hi @Sanal Karippidi Puthiyapurayil ,
welcome to the Atlassian community!
If you are talking about a company-managed project, you can hide development menu just removing all users/groups/roles from "View Development Tools" in you project permission scheme.
Please, ensure that your are not sharing that permission scheme otherwise you will impact all the other project. If the permission scheme is shared, my suggestion, is to create a new permission scheme as copy of the current, remove that permissions and assign it to your project.
it should solve your issue.

I tried unchecking the "access development". But the members in the group still can see the "development" field in the jira.
FYI - I'm a project owner/admin, I don't have permission on entire site.

ok @Sanal Karippidi Puthiyapurayil , you are talking about a team-managed project.
You need to create new role (as you did) because you can't edit the default roles Administrator, Member, Viewer and remove Access development toos (as you did).
After doing that you need to associate users/groups to the new role created.
Please take a look there :
So the development panel will not appear for that user that new role
this should address you on the right way.

yes, this is what exactly I did. All my team mates are now in the new group. But for some weird reason, its not working as intended. Anything else do I need to look?

Please verify that you teammates are just in the new role. They should not able to view the development panel.
If you are administrator, you will continue to view that link.

Looks like still no luck. The person I'm testing with is associated with the new group which I created. Not sure whats happening. @atlassiansupport is there anything we can look further?

I performed a test on my cloud instance so I don't think that is a bug but just an error on configuration
Could you please share your role configuration?
