Customize Description field in issues (Company managed Jira-project)

I would like to customize the Description field in an issue- or more specifically the text in the input-box of the Description field for an issue (in a specific Jira-project, which is Company Managed).

My aim is that the description field has a sort of template for writing a User Story. 

I know it is possible in Teams Managed Jira-projects, but I cant find if it is possible in Company Managed Issues.

For a Company Managed project it is not possible to set a default value (template) for the Description field with native functionality.

There is a workaround described here that involves creating a custom field where you can set a default value, showing that in your Create Issue screen, and then automating copying that field to the system Description field when the issue creation process completes.
