We are currently using Email this issue to send updates on incidents. One limitation we have at the moment is finding an easy way to target our emails to specific interest groups. Ideally, we would like to be able to automatically populate the Bcc field using information from a custom (or other) field.
Some basic use cases would look like the following
- If the issue is affecting HR send a Bcc notification to the HR team
- If the issue is affecting Accounts then send a Bcc notification to Accounts team
Is there a way to achieve this without having to manually enter the emails?
If you have a bcc field added to Jira, one that contains people's accounts, then you can add it into the notification scheme. Jira will email the people named in a people field if you tell it to in the notification scheme.
