Hi @Estíbaliz Echevarría Guerrero

Welcome to the community!

My name is Gracjan, and I'm a Customer Success Expert at HeroCoders, the team behind the Clockwork app I'm assuming you are referring to it.

I understand that you would like to track time in Jira tickets through Microsoft Teams, is that it?

For now, we do not have such an integration, but it might be possible to use Clockwork and Jira Rest API. Clockwork API allows you to start and stop timers using 2 different endpoints.

This would require some development work on your side, and a review what are the possibilities in teams to use the APIs.

Side note - Our team is currently working on integration with Microsoft Outlook calendar, which will allow you to see in Clockwork all your meetings, and easily convert them to worklogs in Jira.

I hope that clarifies your question.

Cheers,

Gracjan

Hi! Gracjan

Thank you for your response.

I was hoping to use Microsoft Teams for time tracking purposes, so it's quite disapointing to hear that this feature isn't available yet. However, the idea of an Outlook integration does sounds great!. I hope you can do it soon.

Additionally, I've been using a Python bot for hours logging via the API. Usually what I do is input hours, instead of using traking time. For me is more convenient.

Could there be a way to integrate such bots within Microsoft Teams to enhance the usability and dynamics of this process?

It would be great if your team could look into adding at least an "add worklog" functionality to Teams.

I truly appreciate your support and the effort put into this.

Estibaliz

It would require us to create a new app from scratch for Microsoft Teams to add there a button/option to track time that would synchronize with Jira, that's something we do not consider for now, as our team is fully focused on the new Clockwork features inside of Jira.

I'm not an expert in Microsoft Teams, so I can't answer if integrating a Python bot with it is possible. You would need to review that in the MS Teams community.

Cheers!

Gracjan
