Hello guys

Im new here, and new in Jira. We have a small office where we would like to lauch jira for Project & task Management

But I have several issues

First of the issue is I cant add comment in local language. We use "ə" "ö" "ğ" "ü" and etc like letters in writing. So when I type in english comments are added, but when I type in Azerbaijan (Turkish) or Russian I get error

Communications Breakdown

The Jira server could not be contacted. This may be a temporary glitch or the server may be down.

Close this dialog and press refresh in your browser

Well, https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/supported-platforms-938846830.html says "Jira will not work on MariaDB".

MySQL itself tends to have problems with foreign/4-byte characters, but I am no DBA so can't elaborate in details other than to say that we used to have a lot of problems with MySQL. Not really foreign characters, but more often than not 4-byte chars, such as emojis/unicode chars.

The bottom case though is, MariaDB is not supported. Out of all the recommended databases, I'd say the least problems you will have is with Postgres, and if I remember correctly there are other benefits from doing that and Atlassian themselves are running on Postgres in Cloud, but I might be wrong.
