I have been doing some server maintenance and noticed that the /var/atlassian/application-data/jira/plugins/.osgi-plugins/ is consuming 460M.
This is a relatively new JIRA instance that is only used by 10 users. So this directory is contributing to 90% of the backup size.
Is there a process to clean up this directory?
The files in plugins/.bundled-plugins and plugins/.osgi-plugins are recreated on the start of JIRA. So you can safely clean-up when JIRA is stopped.
This is even recommended on the upgrade - see KB.
