Can i create subtasks in a Scrum team managed project?

Currently i can create only a child issue under a task, bug or a story
What i want to have:

I want to have ability to create a sub task under the mentioned issue types, and be able to chose whether the subtask is a bug or a task

Hi @Arthur Brown,

No, that does not seem to be possible in team managed projects. You can only add standard issue types to a project there, not sub-tasks.

As a workaround, you can add a custom field to the sub-task issue type where you indicate what type of sub-task it is. That way, you can categorise them after all.

Hello @Arthur Brown

This is not possible if you are using team-managed projects.

You can create a company-managed one and follow the steps below.

Here is what you need:

1. To be able to create a sub-task called bug you will need first to create new issues type> name it bug > and select type sub-task:

Create a new issue type from Jira admin settings:

2. Then you must add this new issue type to your project. You can do that from your project settings > issues > types:
