Hello,
We have JIRA Cloud. 90% of our JIRA projects are classic software projects. The new Work Force Management projects have a calendar (which shows up on the left menu).
Is there a setting to give this calendar to a classic software project?
We are also using Team Calendars plug-in for Confluence (which is great). Does the WFM calendar support spreading an issue over multiple days like Team Calendars? (a 3 day long issue based has a line indicator that stretches across the 3 days?)
Thank You.
Chris
Hi @Chris Covert,
Welcome to the community! You are looking at the very first release of Jira Work Management. The calendar view is indeed a very useful new addition, limited to JWM / business projects.
Issues are displayed based on due date now. So spreading an issue across multiple dates is not possible yet. More details of available features and how it works can be fount in this support article.
On the timeline view - also a view of JWM - tasks are displayed across start and due dates.
Hope this helps!
Hi Walter,
thank you for response.
Still need to ask: can this calendar work in Classic Software Projects?
Also a follow up question: Can you filter what shows up on the calendar by having a JQL drive the result set.
Thanks
Chris

Hey Chris,
No, the calendar is a feature of business projects only. And right now I am quite sure that filtering options for the different views are not available yet either (the product is so new that I'm exploring it too as we speak).
It is built on the foundations of company managed projects, though (with configuration through schemes), so convinced that the features you describe are valuable and definitely candidates for being added there.
Don't hesitate to hit the give feedback button in product to reach out to the Atlassian team to point these out!

Were you able to figure out if you could change calendar views and layouts.
I have the exact same question you did.
