Burn down chart explanation

I have below questions regarding the burn down charts/reports in Jira -

1. Does the burn down chart only include estimates for stories or it shows the estimates for other issues types also like tasks. I know sub-tasks are included but was interested about tasks part.

2. If the point 1 is true, can I only include tasks (not linked to any stories) with story points estimation in sprints (and not add user stories) and that will again show the correct estimation at the end in the burn down report?

3. If the point 1 is true and my tasks are linked to stories, can I only add tasks with user story points in sprints and still get correct burn down report?

Hi @pranjal kohre, basically, the issue type doesn’t change the report much. As long as the issue has an estimate and is part of the sprint, you’re good to go.

Hope that clears things up!

Cheers,

Melo
