To clarify, you want the Story Points to stay burned to record the effort for the overall Sprint? Please can you clarify why you want to do this?
I think if you want to record the effort, even if the issue is re-opened, let's say, you could log work in the issue.
For example, if I log 4 hours working on something and then mark the issue as done, if someone came along and re-opened it, you would still know how much time had been consumed. Would this work?
