Automatically export issues

Hello,

Is it possible to create a rule that exports incidents?

In Jira Automation it is possible to run the rule from time to time and it is possible to select the issues using a filter, but I don't see a way to export the issues.

Do you know a way to do it?

You want to export the issues/incidents on the basis of Jira filters.

Atlassian provides an feature related to the similar requirement, you can achieve it through Filter Subscription.

It gets notified to the recipient related to your filters go through the links for more details

Automation rules are not directly providing the export features, you have to use 3rd party plugin to add the external action on the automations like Better Excel Automation for Jira etc.

Thank you very much for the answer, unfortunately that plugin only works for Jira Server. However, the filter subscription thing seems interesting to me.

Update: a few weeks ago we have released the cloud version of the two aforementioned apps:

1. Better Excel Automation
2. Better PDF Automation

These two have been the most popular options on the Data Center and Server platforms to implement exporting to Excel or PDF as part of standard Jira Automation rules! And it is possible to do it using Jira Cloud Automation!

The automation apps are completely free for everyone, but they delegate to exporter apps that are free for the 10 user tier only, but even after that they are affordable.

Make sure you give them a try!

You could use filter subscriptions to do something like this, which allow you to program the sending of a list of issues that meet a certain criteria to an email address. Please check out the documentation here - Manage filters | Jira Software Cloud | Atlassian Support.
