Hi, brand new to Jira Work Management and I can't seem to figure out this issue.
I created a custom workflow in Jira and I want to apply it to all current and future projects but on an individual basis I do not see an option to select this workflow, and from an org setting level I do not see the option to mass assign projects to this workflow. I attempted to adjust the workflow scheme for the basic/default workflow to leverage my customized workflow but it did not change anything except the primary project I adjusted the workflow in.
A few other things to note, this is the free version of Jira work management and all these projects are team managed. Happy to adjust to company managed projects if someone can tell me how.
Thanks!
Hi @Dylan Hughes and welcome to the community,
Unfortunately you can't assign a workflow to all projects like this. If you are on a company managed project, then you ought to know that projects work with schemes. Schemes are associated to projects. One of that scheme is the workflow scheme, the collection of individual workflows used in a project for all issue type used in that project.
So if you want to have certain workflows applied to all current projects then you should:
On team managed projects, workflows are independent from all other projects. Meaning you can't apply a certain workflow to another project. You have to create it from scratch..
Got it thank you Alex
