A user is assigned Admin of a Project, how come his All Projects list isn't showing the project?

Dear Jira Experts,

I added a user to Admin of this newly-created project in Users and Roles, how come his All Projects list isn't showing this newly-created project?

When he clicks "Go Back to Project", it says "You can't view this project" but this user is the admin of the project.

Additionally, when I created the project, the user is assigned to the Project Lead but this new project isn't showing in his All Projects list.

What could be the issue?

Thanks!

Hi @Kevin Lu,

I read between the lines that this is a company managed project. If so, check the permission scheme of this project (via Project Settings > Permissions) and check if the admin role that you assigned the user to has browse project permission in that scheme.

If not: either update the permission scheme itself so the admin role does get this permission, or add the user to a role that does have this browse project permission.

The permission scheme and the roles you assign users to work together to give people the desired permissions. Unfortunately, just the name of the role does not always align with how you / your internal Jira admins have defined them in the permission schemes.

Hope this helps!
