Linking issues in JIRA

Hi Team,

I would like to link an issue with only one issue.
Currently we can link an issue with any number of issues.

So, please let me know if I can link an issue only once with another issue, after linking the "Link" button should be hidden or disabled.

Please let me know if this is possible

(AND)

I would like to link an issue through a transition.

Eg: When I click "Resolve" in the pop up screen, I should be able to link an issue.

Please let me know if this is possible.

Edit the screen that is popped up (the one that has the resolution on it).  You can add the field "linked issues" to it and it will ask the user for links.

No, it's not possible.   One of the good things about Jira is the linking and that should allow many links, so you can't annoy your users by limiting it.
