Is There a way to prevent user from logging hours under epic in Next gen project?

Currently, we are using Next gen projects for most of our task. We want to prevent users from logging hours under epic and instead log the hours only in story or tasks.

Hi @Jaime Mabini,

if you use a specific workflow for epic you can deny logwork adding a workflow property in each status. https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/how-to-restrict-log-work-on-a-specific-status-834225982.html

Hope this helps,

Fabio

Hello @Fabio Racobaldo _Catworkx_

Yes I understand that in Classic project you can create a work around by adding a property jira.permission.work.denied in the workflow.

But, for Next Gen projects there is no workflow that you can configure. Next Gen project is using a simplified workflow which is outside the global workflow of JIRA itself.

So im asking if there is other way to prevent user from logging hours in epic other than adding properties to the workflow.

Sorry @Jaime Mabini, I missed the Next Gen. You are right, you can't perform this change.
