How to get jira-data from external

Oliver Schneeweiß
May 4, 2023

Hello,

actual I have a jira-installation on my own linux-server (with mysql-database).

But in the near future I have to switch to jira cloud.

And then I have a problem, because I grab issues-data to my self-programmed invoice-software (also a mysql-database). For this, I use sql-statements, to read the jira-database.

I've read, that under jira cloud there is no access to the jira-database, or the issue-data.

Can you help me, how I can solve this problem?

A manual export is not a good solution for me.

Kind regards and many thanks,

Oliver

You will have to find or write something that can extract the data you need from Jira's REST API and poke it into your database.

You will not get any access to the Cloud database, although if you go premium, you might want to look at the data lake (but it's still going to be totally different to the database, like the REST API)
