Assign and add comment at the same time

In the old Jira issue view, I could click ASSIGN and a lightbox would appear with the ability to leave a comment before I assign. In the new Jira issue view I can't find that feature anymore. Am I looking in the wrong place or is that feature not available anymore? Is there a way to get it back?

The new issue view is built from the ground up and does not have feature parity with any of the older issue view's features. There is no way to do that in the new issue view.
