Adding new status in Jira Space

I would like to add some new status in our spaces.
However, I cannot create completely new status there. It says I need to select from existing status which I don't find status I want to add.

Please let me know how I can create a new status.

Hi @Motoko Wu,

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

Based on the screenshot it looks like you do not have Jira admin permissions, which is needed in order to create new statuses. You would need to ask your admin to create the status first before you can add it to the workflow.

It seems I have admin access.. I can create a new status if it exists in other space... Anyway, I will check with my admin. Thanks, again!
