We are starting with Jira ServiceDesk. I would like my customers to see the number of hours spent on an issue in the overview page of my Requests. Is there any way to get this done. tried some add-ons but they don't show this field. We're using the time spent field.

I find that highly amusing that you're looking for time spent on the portal. Jira Service Desk sprang out of a much voted request to hide time tracking from others/customers/etc.
Unfortunately this is not a field that can be displayed on the portal.
