Actually we are planing to upgrade JIRA this Saturday,
For that We need to stop the ticket creation in JIRA.
Is there any way to stop the all (We are using 172 mail boxes/mail handler) the mail boxes for some hours.
You may want to add those params to the JMV running JIRA and restart.
-Datlassian.notifications.disabled=true
-Datlassian.mail.senddisabled=true
-Datlassian.mail.fetchdisabled=true
-Datlassian.mail.popdisabled=true
Before removing the params after the upgrade, you should clear the mail queue. You can test this in test to make sure it's working as expected.
There is no easy way to set jira in ReadOnly mode.
